<h4> </h4>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4>1.  Remove Existing Pressure Gauge from Service</h4>
<ul>
<li>Remove the metal screws (x6) from the Gen 3 side walls to gain access to the system.</li>
<li>Cut the brown tube connected to the back of the existing pressure gauge as close to the gauge as possible.
<ul>
<li>You can also disconnect the other end of the tube from the pump. Discard this piece.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-22804 alignnone size-medium" src="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" srcset="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-225x300.jpg 225w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-1200x1600.jpg 1200w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-1400x1867.jpg 1400w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-300x400.jpg 300w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5720-scaled.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px" /></p>
<ul>
<li>Use the provided black vinyl sticker to cover the old pressure gauge window, denoting it is out of service.</li>
<li>Carefully move the plastic shroud off to the left side of the unit so as not to kink or disconnect any tubes. If needed, feed the controller through the shroud window for easier removal.</li>
</ul>
<h4>2.  Install the Adapter Fitting for the New Pressure Gauge</h4>
<ul>
<li>On the left face of the back metal wall, using a 9/16&#8243; metal drill bit, drill a hole 1.5&#8243; directly above the power cable fitting. Use a tape measure and sharpie as necessary to mark the drill point.</li>
</ul>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-22810 alignnone size-medium" src="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" srcset="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-225x300.jpg 225w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-1200x1600.jpg 1200w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-1400x1867.jpg 1400w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-300x400.jpg 300w, https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/IMG_5742-scaled.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px" /></p>
<ul>
<li>Install the new gauge adapter fitting in this hole by removing a washer from one side of bulkhead fitting, placing the fitting through the hole, placing the washer back on, and tightening the washers on each side of the fitting.</li>
<li>Remove the white tube from Port A on the pump tee and connect it to Port B.
<ul>
<li>If necessary, reduce the length of the white tube by using tube cutters for a better fit.</li>
<li>When routing the white tube, it must be routed behind the bellows pump</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>

<p>The inlet water valve is the silver cylinder mounted to the back wall in the lower right corner of the unit.  The sidewalls must be removed to access it.  The primary failure mode is rust or sediment that enters the valve body and prevents the plunger from closing completely.  You can resolve this issue by disassembling the valve and rinsing the sediment away.</p>
<p><strong>Time:  </strong>20 minutes<br />
<strong>Tools:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Phillips head screwdriver</li>
<li>zip tie snip and zip tie</li>
<li>channel lock pliers</li>
</ul>

<p>C. Disconnect the two segments of 3/8&#8243; nylon tubing that connect the inlet valve to the water line and to the flow meter, then remove the valve from the unit.</p>
<p><span class="fontlarger"><span class="fontred"><strong>2.  Disassemble and clean valve, then test</strong></span></span></p>
<p>A.  Using channel locks or assembly wrench to remove nut securing the valve case and remove the case.</p>
<p>B.  Using channel locks just below the threads or assembly wrench to unscrew the plunger from the valve body as shown.</p>
<p><span class="fontgreen"><img decoding="async" style="width: 300px; height: 200px;" src="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/GEn3_Inlet_Water_Disassemble.jpg" alt="" /></span></p>
<p>C.  If you see sediment or rust in the valve body or stuck to the rubber plunger, rinse it away with water.<br />
<span style="color: #00ff00; font-size: x-large;"><img decoding="async" style="width: 300px; height: 200px;" src="https://help.mistaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Gen3_Inlet_Water_Clean.jpg" alt="" /></span></p>
<p>D.  Reassemble the valve using channel locks.</p>
<p>E.  Reconnect the 3/8&#8243; tubing and reconnect the valve lead to the controller port marked &#8220;Water Inlet&#8221;</p>
<p>F.  Run a remote or manual mist to ensure the valve is working properly.</p>
<p>G.  If so, use<span class="fontsmaller"> Phillips screwdriver to mount valve to back wall with two screws and proceed to Step 4.</span></p>
<p><span class="fontlarger"><span class="fontred"><strong>3.  Replace with new valve and test</strong></span></span></p>
